Scanning Optical Microscopy Group
Welcome to the Scanning Optical Microscopy group within the
Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford.
Confocal microscopy,which permits volume structures to be
imaged in three dimensions, is at the heart of our activities.
However, our research is broadly based with the overall aim of
developing a variety of high resolution imaging techniques for
applications in areas ranging from the life sciences to industrial
metrology.
